ASIA e University (AeU) is a dual-mode international university set in Asia by Asians for Asia. Its establishment is an initiative of Malaysia, as the Asia Cooperation Dialogue (ACD) countries' prime mover for e-education, with the support of 30 member countries as agreed at the Islamabad 2005 and Doha 2006 ACD ministerial meetings.
AeU will collaborate with institutions of higher learning and training centres in the 31 ACD countries to offer academic programmes and training to all participating countries.
The programmes and products are focused on affordability, accessibility, and marketability, and characterised by their flexibility, quality, and relevance.
AeU offers a wide array of courses ranging from short certificates courses to bachelors, masters and doctorates, in tune with market demands and niche.
Courses on offer now are from the School of Management, School of Education & Cognitive Science, and School of Information Computer Technology.
AeU's forthcoming programmes in the 2009/2010 session include the BBA (hons), MSc (by research), MMgt, Asian executive MBA, executive master's programmes and the DBA under the School of Management; BEd (hons) and MEd under the School of Education and Cognitive Science; and BICT (hons) and executive master's programmes under the School of ICT.
AeU is also supported by three other schools. The School of Graduate Studies is a "one-stop" customer-oriented centre for anyone interested in postgraduate studies at AeU, as well as current graduate students.
